When the Police stop you
> If they r not in uniform, az 4 their identification or their police authority cards
Police Authority Card
Red - Suspended Police Officer. He has no rights/ authority to do anythings 2 u. Walk away.
Blue - Rank of Inspector & above
Yellow - Below the rank of Inspector
White - Reserve Police
>If they r in uniforms
Note their names & ID numbers on their uniforms.
>If they r in a police vehicle
Note the number plate of the patrol car/ motorcycle.
If the police question you when stopped
>Your Indentification
Only gif yr name, ID card number & address.
>The police az other questions
Politely az "AM I UNDER ARREST?"
>When u r under arrest
You r arrested if the police:
- tells you "YES"
- does not allow you 2 leave/ 1 2 tek u 2 the police station or handcuffs u.
>If u r not under arrest
You may walk away/ refuse 2 follow him back 2 the police station or anyhwr else, if asked.
>When u cannot be arrested
The police cannot arrest u just because u r a potential withness and 1 2 take a statement from you.
